ABOUT CAVE CREEK & CAREFREE
The Best of two worlds. Cave Creek has a flair of the “Wild West” with a wide range of suburban housing options. A wonderful place to look if you are looking for a horse property. Located in the Sonoran Desert. There is an abundance of year-round outdoor activities at the 3,000 acre Cave Creek Regional Park.
Quirky Cave Creek is hard to pigeonhole: motorcycle and horseback riders share Main Street with one-of-a-kind shops and saloons.
You can move at a slower pace in Cave Creek, where friendly Creekers can steer you toward first-rate hiking at Spur Cross or to the local bar Harold’s Cave Creek Corral. You’ll find feed stores interspersed with secondhand shops, a hat shop, art galleries, and upscale home decor stores offering Mexican pottery and one-of-kind furnishings
The town’s signature event, Wild West Days, features a parade, cattle drive, and mutton bustin’ (picture bull riding for kids, on sheep). But don’t fret if you miss it: there’s two-steppin' and bull riding at Cave Creek’s saloons throughout the year. Looking for something more low-key? How about live acoustic music under the stars at a local coffeehouse?

One store in particular draws much attention to those who drives by. No one can resist the temptation to stop and browse around to look at the magnificent display of a world-class One-Of-A-Kind collection of fossils and minerals. It is definitely the BEST Rock Shop in AZ.

Stroll down "Lazy" or "Ho Hum" Streets and you will get a sense of what Tom Darlington and K.T. Parlmer had in mind in the mid-1950's when they created Carefree as a master planned community. Carefree is true to its name...a town where you can live the lifestyle you want. Spacious luxurious homes provide havens from the city life just a few miles away and other options such as town homes, casitas and condominiums.
Carefree was the home of Southwestern Studios where many films were screened. This sprawling 160-acre (0.65 km2) desert property was originally built in 1968 as Fred Graham Studios by actor, stunt man, and Arizona Film Commissioner Fred Graham. Carefree is now the home to many artists.
